#btconf Düsseldorf, Germany 13 - 15 May 2019

We are delighted that so many wonderful partners join us – sometimes for many years already – and help creating beyond tellerrand in the way it is. Not only do they help to keep the ticket prices affordable, but they are also giving their best to present themselves in a way that fits the audience. Therefore a big “Thank you!” to all Partners for their active support of the event. Without this massive support it is not possible to organise it and to keep beyond tellerrand alive!

If you think of joining the beyond tellerrand family and are interested in getting more information about what the benefits are and what is included, please let me know and I will directly get in touch with you.

sum.cumo

sum.cumo

We are a strongly growing, innovative digital company from Hamburg founded in 2010 and have since grown to about 140 employees with offices in Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Zurich. Digitalization means more than just using new technologies. Today, companies that consistently think and act digitally are the most successful in the world. This is where we come in.
We support and guide companies in the insurance and lottery industries as they strike out in new directions: learning to understand their own customers better. Refining their brands. Opening up new distribution channels and technologically orienting themselves around the most modern players in the market – or even setting new standards themselves.

The engine of our success are the people at sum.cumo – a bunch of very creative and passionate enthusiasts in the areas of digital consulting, ux, marketing and of course developer, who love trying out new things and are striving for approaches that successfully establish real, disruptive innovations.
Since 2010, we have grown rapidly. Very rapidly. That is why we are looking (amongst others) for developer (which make the majority of our employees) in our Hamburg and Dusseldorf offices to help us continuously create, develop and improve our cool applications.

So if you think, feel and work digitally, love to develop bleeding edge frontends and love to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams – you might be the right person for us. We are looking for new colleagues who are looking for exciting and complex projects and do not want to write average code.

Education for Everyone!

Makuyuni

Makuyuni

One of my volunteers approached me at last year’s Berlin edition of beyond tellerrand. He told me about a project he started together with a few other people to bring education to parts in our world, where it is not self-evident. I love the idea and am totally up for it to support it. I want to get the word out and like to help them raising money. This is donation based and you are able to donate whatever you want.

Makuyuni e.V. is a private organisation in Germany that believes in the right to education for everyone, everywhere in the world. Their mission to provide “Education For All” means giving 264 million people worldwide the basic human right to receive education.

They started in Makuyuni, Tanzania – and that is why this is the organisation’s name. It’s a non-profit association founded in September 2018 by Jan Grandisch and Andreas Klein in Cologne.

In the year of their foundation they received €5000 in donations that they invested entirely in their school’s building project in Tanzania.

In concrete terms, this means that they already have given around 30 children the chance to have lessons in a new third classroom through new school desks, tables, and other essential learning materials. They also provide support for teaching structures at the school, such as the planned introduction of curricula.

Another important point is that they work according to the principle of helping people to help themselves and make it possible to set up educational structures rather than actively pursuing them. This means that they provide their friend Lalahe with support, ideas, and resources on-site, who then implements and coordinates the work himself.

You like the idea of it and want to support Makuyuni: donate here
