Partner Highlight Berlin 2025 – TYPO3

I’m always on the lookout for interesting projects that can be shown and experienced in the beyond tellerrand exhibition. I love mixing our wonderful partners with artists, independent projects, and ideas that feel like a great fit for the attendees.

A couple of years ago, I was a guest on a radio show when the lovely Silke Roggermann asked me if I had ever heard of a project called “InDUStrial”. I hadn’t, but it sounded intriguing. So naturally, I instantly reached and soon found myself driving to Düsseldorf to meet the two people behind it.

That’s how I met Carsten Siewert and Kai Hoffmann. We had a coffee, started chatting and instantly clicked. It didn’t take long until we were all excited about bringing InDUStrial to beyond tellerrand.

During that same coffee, Carsten casually asked whether I thought TYPO3 might also be a fitting partner and if I’d be interested in getting in touch with them. Of course I was. Not long after, I found myself sitting in the TYPO3 office in Düsseldorf, meeting Luisa, Myrna, Daniel, and the rest of the wonderful team. Good coffee, lots of laughter and soon after, we had a deal for 2024.

On the left photo they shake hands and make it look important that they agreed on “the contract”. On the right photo they smile and look into the camera.
The moment when “the deal” was made.

What I especially loved was the fact that Daniel made one thing very clear early on: this partnership should never be a one-way street. TYPO3 became our Global Partner for 2024 and I spoke at t3con24, joined the TYPO3 Awards Jury, and was invited to the Inside TYPO3 by Kendall Litton. That, to me, is what a true partnership looks like. Active, lively, and built on mutual trust and exchange.

For Daniel, it was never “just” about financially supporting beyond tellerrand. It was about being part of it. And honestly, that mindset makes all the difference.

I think this attitude also clearly shows in their own events. I’ve attended the conference as well as the awards gala twice now, and every time I’ve been deeply impressed by how open, welcoming, and genuinely warm their community is.

TYPO3 also clearly understands the people they’re speaking to. Their booth at beyond tellerrand is always inviting, well thought through, and perfectly staffed. Whether you’re curious about the product, have deeply technical questions, or want to learn more about their community, you’ll always find someone who listens and helps.

To sum it up I can say that the partnership between TYPO3 and beyond tellerrand is one you can genuinely learn from. Both are surrounded by curious people who love the actual “product” and are always open to learning something new. A perfect fit, in my eyes.

So finally, a big THANK YOU to TYPO3 for their wonderful, active support over the past and especially again in 2025. On to many new adventures together!
