Marc was Invited to the “Wake Up Excited” Podcast by Brad Frost

In the latest episode of Wake Up Excited, Brad and I sat down for a wonderfully honest conversation about creativity, community, and what really drives us to keep doing the work we love. We talked about what gets me out of bed in the morning, especially in the hectic weeks before an event, and how running beyond tellerrand is a mix of pure joy, necessary routine, and the occasional “Ugh, I really have to do this” tasks.

A big part of our chat circled around authenticity and self-worth. A few questions we touched were:

  • How easy is it to overlook your own achievements?
  • How strange does it feel to work alone so much?
  • How often do we push away compliments instead of accepting them?

Brad and I compared how the web used to feel more intimate and conversational, and how today’s social media noise can make honest sharing harder, and yet, more important than ever!

We also dug into the value of community, reflection, and simply showing up as yourself.

For both of us, creativity isn’t about perfection or clout but about people, connection, curiosity, and doing things that feel meaningful.
