Fifteen! – celebrating fifteen years of beyond tellerrand in Berlin

Fifteen years. On 20 November 2011, beyond tellerrand opened the doors for the very first time, in Düsseldorf. Fifteen years later – to the day! – we celebrate. In Berlin.

There’s no full beyond tellerrand in Berlin this year (next year again, promised!), but we didn’t want to let this day pass without getting together. So: one evening, two talks, lots of conversations and a lot of curious, friendly people. Doors open at 17:00 at Diesdas and we’ll keep going until late. Snacks and drinks included! Thank you, Diesdas. Truly.

A massive “Thank you!” also to ASUS who spontaneously stepped in to support this event and make it happen. Partners like you keep beyond tellerrand going.

And the speakers? Well, I couldn’t be happier. Two long-time friends of the beyond tellerrand stage.

Black-and-white portraits of the two speakers side by side: Nadieh Bremer on the left, smiling, against a dark background, and Rob Draper on the right, with a shaved head and stubble, against a light background.
Nadieh and Rob are going to inspire you during this evening.

Rob Draper: Artist, designer and master of hand-lettering. On stage in Düsseldorf 2019 and Berlin 2023, in the audience more times than I can count and the person behind many of our t-shirts and prints. Part of the family, really.

Nadieh Bremer: Data visualisation artist and former astronomer. Düsseldorf 2017, Munich 2018, Berlin 2022. And now Berlin again. Four times. I love it!

“Why charge at all for an evening like this?”, you might ask? I do love the idea of free events, but free events tend to have one problem at least: people register and then don’t show up. We order food and drinks and don’t want to risk a lot of no-show. So tickets are (only) €35 and anything left over after the costs goes to charity. And if the fee is a problem for you, just get in touch. We’ll sort it out.

Tickets are limited and they won’t last long. Grab yours now and let’s celebrate together.

See you in Berlin ;)
