Opening Titles Berlin 2025 – Pikdrei

When I am putting together an event, like beyond tellerrand Berlin 2025, one of the things I always look forward to is the opening title sequence. It is that first creative moment that greets everyone before the talks begin. This year, I was happy that Pikdrei take on this task again, and they absolutely delivered something lovely once more.

Pikdrei embraced one of the core ideas behind the conference: when different creative minds – designers, developers, artists – come together, something new emerges. They integrated the work by Nikolai Kampen, who designed the core design of the 2025 Berlin edition and framed it all around street art and graffiti.

What they created is a short, energetic mix of motion, organic shapes and texture. They mixed hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation with 3D, which lead to visuals that feel alive and positive.

The sound design, crafted by Brokensound, supports the visual language by Luise and Tobias and gets you in the right mood for what’s coming in the following two days.

For me, the opening titles are always more than just an intro. They’re a setting of tone and vibe for the whole event. Somehow “a creative handshake with everyone in the room”. The work by Luise John and Tobias Gallé once again was a fitting and exciting start to beyond tellerrand Berlin 2025. Thanks for your work!
