I'm so lucky that beyond tellerrand was my first conference abroad. It became immediately clear to me how tightly-knit and welcoming the community is. I loved the atmosphere and hope to come back again one day!
Speaker Introduction – Katerina Kamprani
Attention: Katerina sadly had to pull out of this event. She might be back at a later edition.

Everyday things that make you uncomfortable. What? Yes, exactly that is what Katerina Kamprani creates.
I came across her work a while ago and every since, when she publishes a newly designed piece, it creates a happy moment, a smile on my face, whenever I see them.
Uncomfortable rulers, rain boots or forks – go and see yourself, what that looks like. But not only does it make me smile, it makes me think. that also is how Katerina puts it: “My work is intended to challenge assumptions about the functionality and purpose of common objects, and to encourage us to rethink our relationship with the world around us.”
So, I thought, I check and see, if she ever has given a talk and if not, if she would be up to. Turned out that a) she already had given talks and b) she’d love to join us in Düsseldorf. Fantastic! And really, you should not miss out on this.
beyond tellerrand Düsseldorf 2025 is taking place on May 5 and 6 with workshops and Side Events on 4th and 7th.
