p98a Letterpress Workshop

p98a Letterpress Workshop

Get your hands dirty and explore the fundamentals of letterpress. Theoretical and mostly practical work is waiting for you. Erik Spiekermann and Jan Gassel recently opened their new space p98a in Berlin, where this workshop is taking place.

Sad news upfront: Erik won't be there to teach you (unless his schedule changes). But be sure you'll learn in his and Jan's new space from people who definitely know what they are doing. ;)

During the workshop

This workshop is for everybody who is interested in typography and letterpress. For everybody who always wanted to know how letterpress actually is working. You don’t need to come prepared with anything – a basic understanding for design, proportion and type helps though.

You'll work in four groups of three people, each with their own press to work on. Experience letterpress printing as it has been done 50 years ago with original type from that era.

When and where is the workshop taking place?

On Thursday, November 6th at p98a.
Potsdamer Strasse 98a
10785 Berlin
