Exhibition

In between all the presentations we have a lot of breaks. And where do we meet in the breaks? Yes, in the exhibition. Not only is this the place to get a fresh drink and meet the rest of the attendees, but you meet the partners onsite and some lovely other exhibitors – artists, creators, speakers who brought something to exhibit and much more. Each time this is different, but be sure that it’ll a great place to mix and mingle and meet interesting people. Below you find a list of who is part of our exhibition this time.

Storyblok

Storyblok is a Headless Content Management System. But next to this they are a long-time partner of beyond tellerrand and have been a massive part to keep this event up and running. If you want to learn about who they are and what they do, meet them at their booth!

sipgate

Without sipgate this event would not exist anymore. They were and are a big part of why beyond tellerrand is able to take place each time. In Berlin they run the barista bar and make sure you get good coffee. Come by and say “hi”. ;)

denkwerk

denkwerk are one of the first supporters of beyond tellerrand. They took a break, but they are back. Not only in Düsseldorf, but also in Berlin and also in person and onsite. Make sure to visit their booth and say hello.

Avenga

Avenga is a global IT engineering and consulting platform and at beyond tellerrand you have the chance to meet them and get to learn more about what they do and who they are. Make sure to stop by and have a chat.

Steffen Mumm

Steffen Mumm – aka HokerOne – is a long-time friend of beyond tellerrand and in 2017 he design all the assets, like t-shirt, slides, stage art and more, for our Berlin edition.

Meanwhile Steffen is an established artist who had many exhibitions and is known, amongst many other things, for his “Heads”. We are delighted that he is part of this years “friends exhibition” in Berlin!

Johannes Ehemann

Johannes Ehemann is a former ice hockey pro who found his passion in what he does these days: arts. Every piece he creates is a unique piece.

You’ll find Johannes at a coop booth together with Steffen (see above). Find him, chat with him and find out more about him and his work.

Buchstabenmuseum Berlin

Built letters disappear from the cityscape. Globalisation and standardisation are displacing regional, traditional businesses, retail shops and handcrafted lettering. Individual and high-quality shop inscriptions disappear from our view and from that of our customers. Consciousness – if we don’t preserve it. This task is taken over by the Buchstabenmuseum.

We collect, preserve and document the literal signs of past epochs. We create a place of remembrance, but also of impulses for current discussions. We offer starting points for dealing with trade, advertising and urban history, with language and words, typography, design and craftsmanship.

Do you love letters, city history, urban culture? Take part and support the work of the Buchstabenmuseum. As a non-profit association, we welcome new members and donations of any amount. More information on site of beyond tellerrand and on our website.

Hacking Gutenberg – p98a

With our very first Berlin edition, we organise a letterpress workshop at the work space called p98a founded by Erik Spiekermann and Jan Gassel. It is a wonderful space and the team at 98a preserve history. But not only history you can have a look at and get a presentation about, no, you can actually touch it, use it and create beautiful things like it has been done many years ago.

Come and meet the lovely people from p98a in our exhibition and who knows, maybe you even het the chance to print something? ;)

skate-aid

skate-aid is a non-profit organization (NGO) from Germany, that provides extensive child and youth Services through the pedagogical power of skateboarding. Since it was founded in 2009 by skateboard pioneer Titus Dittmann, skate-aid has implemented projects for disadvantaged kids and teenagers worldwide. In our projects we build skate parks in countries like Uganda, Namibia, Rwanda and Palestine and recently opened our newest skate park in Damascus/Syria in cooperation with the SOS Children's Villages. Especially in areas where social abuses and difficult living conditions prevail, we support kids in their development and encourage self-determined learning and intrinsic motivation.

In addition, we offer orientation aid, contribute to gender equality and enable an increase in self-esteem, community awareness, personal responsibility and determination. The skate parks and the skateboard are the necessary tools to provide sustainable support through our workshops. The kids learn to get up after falling down. This strengthens their personality and takes away their fear of facing new challenges later in life.

That’s our mission: we empower kids!

Meet us in the exhibition of beyond tellerrand to get to know more about us.

Shirley Wu

Shirley Wu is one of our wonderful speakers who is going to exhibit and sell some of her lovely artwork.

Next to checking out what she is going to bring, you might want to drop by to simply have a chat with her …

Niels Kiené

Niels aka Salventius is another speaker who was keen to chat to you in the exhibition and also wanted to present and sell a few things in the exhibition.

Meet Niels and learn about his lovely artwork.

Rob Draper

Rob Draper is one of the long time mates of beyond tellerrand also. He spoke for the first time in Düsseldorf in 2019 and since then he created t-shirts, helped us raising money for charity with live drawing activities, created opening titles for Berlin 2019 and much more. Now he is back in Berlin to present on stage, but also to show you (and sign and sell?) you some of his work ;)

We Want to Meet You

We’re always interested in discovering more about the wonderful people attending beyond tellerrand. This year, we’ve asked founders of ACDW and long-time attendees Keir Whitaker and Craig Cooper to set up shop in the exhibition and hear what you have to say.

They’d love to chat with you if you can spare ten minutes. As a thank you for your participation, they’ll be offering free drink tokens redeemable at the bar during the event.
