Freifunk (Wifi Partner)

Freifunk is a wireless community network, bringing connectivity to your neighborhood. People come together and build their own network infrastructure into their city. On the roofs, towers, places, in their homes and at their workplace. Freifunk is totally non-commercial, open and radically free. The network is decentralized and establishes a mesh network of interconnected nodes, so you can even reach participants connected to other wi-fi stations.

At beyond tellerrand, you can connect to Freifunk and access the internet. This experiment takes us to our limits: we want to get every one of the participants the best network experience – and on top of that make it extendable by everyone who runs their own node.
