We’re back with another edition of the IndieWebCamp in Berlin. Thanks to Joschi Kuphal and Tantek Çelik, who organise this edition, you are invited to join us on November 1st and 2nd, before beyond tellerrand.

But what is an IndieWebCamp all about?

The importance of owning your data is getting more awareness every year – yet it is not enough, in times where social media is scattered. There is still a lot of work to do to help people to understand what “owning your data” actually means at all. To help people getting started, we’re meeting for a two-day bar camp like collaboration in Berlin. Brainstorming, working, teaching, helping and much more. Join us on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd and get into it.

Day one is a day with discussion in a bar camp like environment. Bring a topic you’d like to discuss or join on topics as they are added to the board.

Day two is all about implementing what you discussed. Work in groups with others or simply on your own. Demos at the end of the day show what everyone worked on and has achieved.

If you are in town on Wednesday, November 5th, make sure you are part of the Pre-Conference Warm-Up, taking place in the evening before the main event.

We currently don’t have Partner for the Warm-Up. If you like to host it and invite to your office, event space, agency, then please let us know and we explain how this usually looks like.

Kirby is once again inviting you to hang out with them and the Kirby community at beyond tellerrand Berlin! On the evening of day one, users and makers of Kirby will gather for a relaxed get-together. Whether you’re already building with Kirby or just curious to learn more and ask questions, you’re warmly welcome to join.

Brad and Ian Frost are in the house. Both love music and making music. Some years ago we started “Brad’s Jam” over there at Smashing Conference and when Brad and I chatted about him coming back to beyond tellerrand, we thought “What about some handmade music in Berlin also?”. Since Ian joins him as well, we gave this a new name with Tellerrand Tunes.

So here we go: bring your instruments or use what’s there (stay tuned for info on that) and join Brad and Ian on Thursday evening.

If you don’t want to tune in yourself, but only want to listen and be part: no problem at all. Since we stay in the venue, where we are for the Get Together anyways, you are invited to come in and have a listen – who knows, maybe you want to grab an instrument spontaneously.
