There's something unique about the scope of ideas discussed and the genuine enthusiasm behind this conference that makes beyond tellerrand really inspirational. It's hard to describe it — you’ve just got to be there to experience it for yourself.
Speaker Introduction – Matthias Ott
Matthias Ott is someone you meet at events like conferences, meetups, online courses and many more variations, where he can attend or speak and teach himself. But as if that is not enough, he also is a massive advocate of the ”personal website” and owning your content. (As I am writing this, the German Working Draft Podcast released an episode with Matthias, in which the topic is the personal website.)
In October 2023 Matthias started a newsletter that emphasises the above as the title of the newsletter is “Own Your Web”. In this newsletter Matthias writes about building and maintaining your own website. This includes you, the beginner in this subject, as well as you, the advanced web designer. He covers a wide range of topics and collects useful resources. You can browse the full archive here.
When it comes to his active role at events – I mean speaking and teaching – his workshop topics and presentations are often practical. If Matthias is not cruising the web or travelling the world for events, he teaches interface prototyping at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design.
This year Matthias Ott joins us for the 2025 edition of beyond tellerrand and we can’t wait to welcome him on our stage!
