Research Together

Research Together

This workshop is intended for anyone who wants to incorporate research into their design, development, or business process in order to make better-informed decisions. The emphasis is on qualitative rather than quantitative methods—things like interviews and observation rather than surveys and analytics.

During the workshop

Erika will take you from initial question formation through analysis to reporting and sharing findings through a combination of hands-on exercises, discussion, and a small amount of lecture for framing and instruction.

This workshop will cover

  • Formulating research questions
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • User research
  • Advocating for the value of research

Outcomes

  • Understand the general model of research-informed design and development
  • Incorporate research into any budget or timeframe
  • Identify and formulate research questions
  • Choose research methods and activities
  • Master the art of the interview
  • Think as a team to get the best insights from data
  • Digest report and share insights

Who is it for

If you're on a product team, this is for you, but it's really for anyone who wants to learn to make better decisions faster.
