When my friends and colleagues ask: ‘Which event or conference should I make sure to go to this year?’ I answer: ‘Let me tell you about beyond tellerrand’.
No beyond tellerrand in Munich in January
I have already stated in my Munich Wrap-Up from last January, that it is likely that this year no beyond tellerrand in Munich in 2019. Well, I have really enjoyed organising and running Munich’s edition a lot and I will definitely be back, but as you can see from the announcement of Düsseldorf and the ticket sales for Düsseldorf starting next Monday, there won’t be a January edition.
That said, I still might organise one in Munich, or somewhere not too far from Munich, but certainly not in January. Already safe are the editions in Düsseldorf and Berlin in 2019! And right now plans are growing, whether I do another Munich edition later in 2019 or something new, maybe something like a small tour with a handful of speakers. I am not sure yet and I will decide right after the next Berlin edition in a couple of weeks.
Another reason for not running Munich in January, next to what I stated, is, that my good friend Simon Collison, who spoke a couple of times at my event already, brings back his New Adventures, which I attended and of which I said it was one reason to run my event in January. So, why don’t you join me and start 2019 with a short trip to Nottingham to meet at New Adventures? I promise that this is going to be a great start into the new year!
