Tiziana Alocci

Tiziana Alocci

Tiziana Alocci is an award-winning information designer, data artist, and lecturer in London. Alongside her art production, Tiziana has been working for over a decade as an information designer, collaborating with worldwide creative agencies, brands, and art institutions for the likes of BBC, the British Library, and Wired UK.

Since 2018, Tiziana has been an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Arts London, among other international guest lecturers in major European cities. In 2017, she co-founded Market Cafe Magazine, the world's first independent magazine about data visualisation. Born and raised between the sea and the “vicoli” of Genoa, she lives and works in East London, where she runs her studio playing with pixels, data, and sounds, regularly falling in love with new forms of art.

dina Amin

dina Amin

dina A. Amin is a stop motion artist and a maker from Cairo, Egypt. She completed her B.A. (Hons) in Industrial Design in Malaysia. Although trained as a Product Designer, dina loves to explore the intersections between various disciplines.

In 2016, dina started a side project called ‘Tinker Friday’ on Instagram, where she combined her passion for product design and stop motion with her views on consumerism. In this stop motion series, dina shows people what’s inside the countless things they throw away, in unusual ways. dina continues to tinker, making new items out of old ones, constantly telling stories and showing people things in a completely different way.

After discovering her love for stop motion, dina also founded “Tinker Studio”, where she produces stop motion videos for diverse clients and companies around the world.

Nadieh Bremer

Nadieh Bremer

Nadieh Bremer is a data visualisation artist. She graduated as an Astronomer, started working as a data scientist before finding her true passion in the visualisation of data. As 2017´s “Best Individual” in the Information is Beautiful Awards, she focuses on visuals that are uniquely crafted for each specific dataset, often using large and complex datasets while employing vibrant color palettes. She’s made visualisations and art for companies such as Google News Lab, Sony Music, UNICEF, the New York Times and UNESCO.

Espen Brunborg

Espen Brunborg

Espen is a Norwegian designer and one half of Brunborg & Brunborg, a tiny agency based in Dundee, Scotland. After graduating as a graphic designer he started his career as a magazine designer in Edinburgh in 2006. Two short years later, he was fired from his second ever job as a designer, setting in motion a chain of events that, amongst other things, lead to him co-founding digital agency Primate, heading up the design team at Oslo-based marketing agency Hyper, designing digital products for Hava Media, and being invited to speak at events around the world.

Michelle Chin

Michelle Chin

Michelle is a Design Advocate at zeroheight, where she serves the design community through knowledge sharing, building bridges, and identifying community needs. She's an advocate for mental health in the workplace and career coaches underrepresented communities in tech. She co-hosts the UX In Real Life podcast that examines what UX is really like at work and in the world around us. Michelle also advocates for environmental justice and tree equity in Oakland, California.

Janis McDavid

Born with no arms or legs, Janis McDavid reveals some very personal insights on why courage, curiosity and a grain of craziness are more important to realise your dreams than any external factors.

Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino

Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino

Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino is a London-based author, consultant and entrepreneur who works across climate change, ethics and the internet of things.

She is the author of ‘Creating a Culture of Innovation’ (2020) and ‘Smarter Homes: how technology will change your home life’ (2018). She was the first UK distributor of the Arduino, the founder of the Good Night Lamp and is now building the Low Carbon Design Institute, exploring how creative professionals integrate climate change knowledge in their practice.

Eva-Lotta Lamm

Eva-Lotta Lamm

Eva-Lotta Lamm is a designer, author and visual thinker. After a 15-year-long career as a UX / digital product designer working in Paris and London for Google, Skype, and Yahoo!, she shifted her professional focus to her life-long passion of visual thinking.

She is now based in Berlin, running her own business designing (physical and digital) products that teach a global audience to use sketching as a tool for understanding, thinking and communicating more efficiently. Her mission is to empower people to make the complex problems they face in their work and daily life visual so they can ‘see’ them from a fresh perspective and solve them with more confidence, creativity and clarity.

Eva-Lotta is a sought after expert in her field. She is regularly speaking at international design conferences on the topics sketching, sketchnoting and visual thinking and has been teaching her craft both in-peron and online for over a decade.

In her spare time, Eva-Lotta practices yoga and improvisation, loves travelling, languages and learning new things. These passions have inspired several of her books capturing her experiences in the form of rich visual notes.

Vic Lee

Vic Lee

Vic Lee is an artist based in London. A storyteller, typographer, author, muralist and general ragamuffin, Vic’s unique style of art incorporates hand illustration with elaborate design and flamboyant wordsmithery.

A multi award winning artist, he has created murals and collaborated on products with some of the worlds biggest brands and agencies, including Virgin Atlantic, Mercedes, McLaren, Pokémon, The Famous Grouse and The Royal Shakespeare Company to name just a few.

He’s been labelled inspiring, controversial, honest, outspoken and light hearted. Vic will show his transition from a graphic designer of 17 years to becoming an acclaimed artist, his unique thought processes on attracting clients, dealing with rejection and staying positive as well as future thinking.

Gavin Strange

Gavin Strange

By Day, Gavin is an award-winning Director and Designer for the UK’s beloved creative studio Aardman Animations. By night he goes under the alias of JamFactory, indulging in all manner of passion projects from music to movies. He’s a keynote speaker, giving creative talks around the world from Mexico to Manchester and he’s the author behind the motivational mantra ‘DO Fly’, published by the DO Book Company.

David Dylan Thomas, author of Design for Cognitive Bias, creator and host of The Cognitive Bias Podcast, and a twenty-year practitioner of content strategy and UX, has consulted major clients in entertainment, healthcare, publishing, finance, and retail. As the founder and CEO of David Dylan Thomas, LLC he offers workshops and presentations on inclusive design and the role of bias in making decisions. He has presented at TEDNYC, SXSW Interactive, Confab, An Event Apart, LavaCon, UX Copenhagen, Artifact, IA Conference, IxDA, Design and Content Conference, Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise, and the Wharton Web Conference on topics at the intersection of bias, design, and social justice.

Dominic Wilcox

Dominic Wilcox

Dominic Wilcox works across the worlds of art, design, craft and technology to create thought-provoking objects that inspire, surprise and delight. His diverse work includes watch sculptures, GPS shoes and a stained glass car of the future recently shown at London’s Science Museum. He is also on a mission to inspire children to become the creative thinkers of the future with his Little Inventors organisation that turns children’s ideas into reality. Designer Thomas Heatherwick described Dominic’s work as ‘serious challenges to the real world to keep looking at itself with innocent eyes, wondering what else is possible’.
